Jack Gantz and Lantern

"Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pale of water, jack fell down and broke his crown and jill came tumbling after."
and
"jack and jill went up the hill to have a little fun, stupid jill forgot her pill and now they have a son."
that's what started me on my first attempt at a romance novel. funny right?
as I mentioned earlier in Ben Gantz's submission, it ends up being a story about a love triangle in which Jack and His brother, Ben are in love or lust with the same woman, Jill.
Jack and Jill are already meeting secretly at night before and throughout Ben and Jill's marriage. quite an affair.some other things happen Jack and Ben sware vengance against one another, and fight atop a steep hill. Ben shoves his brother who promptly does as the nursery rhyme says. "fell down and broke his crown" ( cracks his skull open)and jill being the hussy that she was and full of all kinds of grief and self loathing, jumps after. she "came tumbling after". another thing worthy of note, jack used to carve turnips, and place a candle inside them during his excursions with jill to keep the candle from blowing out in the wind. anybody who knows anything about the history of our modern cultural traditions would recognize the Jack o' Lantern's origins played out here. although I think the REAL Jack of the lantern made his out of tubers or something like that and carried it around while watching over his village during the night. alerting defenses to any approaching potential enemies or nightly travellers. "tis the middle of the night!.... and all is well!"
I named jack's spirit of vengance Lantern as an ironic allusion to the jacko' lantern theme aswell.
